Phil has a track record of over 25 year of successful turnaround investments, commencing in the ‘80s with investments in Sunbeam, Victa and Wormald Ltd through his listed vehicle Reil Corporation, and more recently PayConnect Solutions (now ADP), Atlas Group, Smart Salary and Omni Plastics Group through his boutique investment house, Minstar Capital (formerly Interbank Capital Partners). Prior to embarking on his turnaround investment path, Phil was an Executive Director of Macquarie Bank.

He is currently Chairman of Bisalloy Steel Group and of the not-for-Profit, Ability First Australia and Wesley Institute.  Phil is also Director of Antares Restaurant Group Ltd (New Zealand Burger King Franchise), Acrow Formwork & Scaffolding Pty Limited and Total Eden Pty Limited.He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2007 for services to the community particularly through support services to children and young adults with a disability and to business as a company director.
