Anchorage targets investments with the following attributes:

Industries
  • Well established in their sector with strong brand recognition
  • We will consider any industry (with a few exceptions outlined below)
    - Not high technology, direct real estate or mineral exploration businesses
    - Not start up or early stage investments
 
Scale and Position
  • Businesses with significant size: $50m - $150m enterprise value, or larger with co-investment
  • Opportunities with a turnover of at least $50 million, with a preference for larger transactions
  • Significant market share, or dominant strategic niche
  • Strong and industry recognisable brands
  • Established pathway to the customer
 
Financial Position
  • Businesses that are underperforming and in need of extensive operational change to achieve their potential
  • While underperforming, usually EBITDA positive, or with a history of profitability, prior to a deterioration in performance
 
Management
  • A high quality management team is in place to execute the turnaround program
  • We have a track record of hands on collaboration with management to drive performance improvement
 
Geographic focus
  • Opportunities in the Australian, New Zealand and SE Asian markets
